Cultural Programs at The Chapel Restoration

The Place to Be On a Sunday Afternoon
The historic chapel, breathtaking in its simplicity, is the acoustical equal of the world’s great concert halls. Against the backdrop of the Hudson River and Highlands, its dramatic setting inspires a bond between artist and audience. The 1893 Steinway grand piano, once owned by the Livingston family who had a country house up river, graces the stage. In the choir loft is an equally distinguished pipe organ of the kind played in the 17th through the19th centuries.
The newly built Chancery provides meeting and archival space, changing area, restrooms and kitchen facilities. Post-event receptions are held here or in the courtyard or on the chapel portico and lawn.
